Mission Statement

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival is a non-profit, community focused organization committed to providing a variety of family centered activities held in our historic Downtown Fayetteville. We aim to entertain the members of our community, promote and sustain new and existing business, enhance a positive community image, and attract out of town visitors, while sharing the cultural and recreational opportunities available in the Fayetteville area. Our greatest mission is to encourage unity through the celebration of our diversity, while educating the public on our rich history, and fostering civic pride.


 

A Summary of Our traditions:

Spring Dogwood Festival - Yearly, last weekend of April - Average attendance 250k

Kick off the weekend with our annual exclusive Cork & Fork food and wine event hosted in Festival Park. You’ll get to see the festival be built around you as you sample local chef small bites and sip on wine. This event is held exclusively for sponsors and ticket holders. Our first day of concerts kicks off on it’s four day run starting on Thursday night. At this time the carnival rides, kid’s area and limited food selection begins as well. Grab a cold beer and a seat on the lawn as we bring you the first of four free concert performances.

On Friday, we’re back in festival park for the second of our free concert series as we present Rock ‘n Roll night. We’ll jump off with an opening ceremony where we invite local bands and local celebrities to help us kick off the official beginning of our weekend event. Join us at the close of the concert for fireworks.

Saturday morning arrive to an array of street vendors including arts & crafts, commercial products, food, and services. Our street fair is full of amazing handmade products and unique finds. The carnival rides open back up along with the kid’s zone. You’ll find attractions all around the footprint and lots of things to see. Join us again, in Festival Park, for more FREE concerts on Saturday and Sunday.

Fayetteville After Five - the second Friday of June, July & August - Average attendance 6k per event

Head downtown to Festival Park for the perfect date night and family night out. We open the gates of Festival Park for FREE Friday night concerts. You’ll love the sounds of summer along with awesome food truck options that are bound to please everyone! Bring a lawn chair and be prepared to chill. It’s always family-friendly and a really fun, relaxing time.

 

Dogwood Fall Festival - third weekend of October

The Dogwood Fall Festival is our annual family-friendly event held in Festival Park during the third weekend of October! This festival, much like our Spring Dogwood Festival, has many fun and exciting activities, but with a fall twist.

The event details include Dowtown Hayrides and Historic Hauntings. Through both of these events, patrons will get not only a taste for fall activities but a taste of the downtown historic district history — all from the Fifier’s grave to Lafayette’s Carriage. As the weekend goes on, patrons have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, vendors, and much more, all while enjoying great food and cold beverages. This is an event all ages will enjoy!
